Nature Nurture Life Skills Program

Nature Nurture is a hands-on life skills program for children aged 3-5 years, focused on preparing them for school and teaching important life skills. With a focus on nature and sustainability, this program helps children grow physically, emotionally, and mentally through fun, real-world activities. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, we inspire a love for learning through play, giving your child the tools they need to succeed in school and in life.

Our Programs

Nature Play:

Children embark on regular outdoor adventures, where they explore the wonders of the natural world. Their learning experiences include nature hikes and scavenger hunts, sensory exploration with natural materials such as leaves, rocks, and water, learning about local flora and fauna, and planting and tending our garden and bees.

Artistic Expression:

Art is celebrated as a means of self-expression and exploration. Children are encouraged to explore their creativity through various art forms, using natural materials found in their surroundings.

School Readiness:

We prepare children for the next phase of their academic journey by nurturing essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Our kindergarten program guides and supports children’s learning through play-based experiences, to create and grow their confidence and competence in readiness for school.

Active Lifestyle:

Physical activity is seamlessly integrated into our daily routine, promoting the importance of exercise and well-being. Children engage in age-appropriate sports activities such as obstacle courses and ball games, participate in creative movement and dance classes that enhance motor skills and self-expression, and be introduced to different yoga practices to foster self-regulation and relaxation.

Eco-Conscious Practices:

Sustainability is part of our philosophy at Mount Coolum Early Learning. From recycling initiatives to energy conservation efforts, children learn firsthand the importance of reducing their ecological footprint and caring for the planet.

Beekeeping:

At the heart of our Nature Nurture program lies a commitment to biodiversity conservation. Our children have the unique opportunity to learn about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem through hands-on experiences in beekeeping and honey production.
